Dr.Savitha, HOD of Data Science, Vidyasagar College of Arts and Science, Udumulpet delivered a lecture on IoT concepts and applications on 18.02.2026. Various aspects of Internet of Things(IoT) were discussed which included the technology used, application that are presently developed such as for agriculture, car parking to name a few. Advantages and disadvantages were spelt out. To support the session, traffic regulation on the ghat roads, Automatic fire extinguisher model were demonstrated. Finally, discussed how IoT is going to get integrated with Artificial intelligence. The session was concluded with a quiz.
